Photos of Sunday School Field Trip to Shrine of Christ's Passion

Thanks to Betsy Kirby for the following photos and contributing article.

The Sunday School Students took an interactive field trip tour with their parents to the Shrine of Christ's Passion on April 29, 2012, which was organized by Betsy Kirby. The tour began with the last supper and journeyed through a 1/2 mile winding path of a life-size visual depiction of the stations of the Cross:  Jesus being condemned to the cross, carrying the cross, being nailed to the cross, His burial, and finally His Ascension into Heaven.  This offered the students a "prayerful environment to open their hearts to the journey of Christ’s Passion and draw closer to the Lord." The students appreciated being able to touch and interact with the life size statues while feeling drawn closer to Jesus! After the tour, the children enjoyed a "DQ" treat with one another while sharing their  thoughts on the journey of Jesus. Sunday School enjoyed a great day together and many families commented: "Hopefully we can do this again next year!"
