Our business in Hobart was shut down by the landlords on February 17th, by 9am they had our power shut off, locks changed and signage down.

Mike arrived at the location to put out a early morning catering, finding out that the restaurant was shut down.  Mike went to the Hobart transmission shop and the landlord said that we were evicted. The only notice we had was a certified letter that was mailed on the 12th of February that we picked up on the 16th, stating that our lease was terminated on the 15th of February. We spent the 16th of February trying to call the landlord with no answer.

The worst part of this, for the last year and a half Chuck Dres manager of the shopping center, kept encouraging Mike to give up the Crown Point Restaurant to make the Hobart Restaurant "Bigger and Better." Mike gave up Crown Point location as of February 7th to work the Hobart location full time. We told Chuck Dres second week of January that Mike was closing Crown Point, Chuck Dres was excited and he even discuss this with our employees. Chuck Dres also knew that we had every weekend in February booked with parties.

Two weeks ago we had two businesses, today we have none.

As of February 19th, We are still trying to get 75% of our valuables back.

The Bacino's want to set the record straight and let everyone know that we were not Legally Evicted, but put out of business because the landlord had a better offer for our location.

UPDATE as of February 20th 2010

Our representative called Phil Dres this morning, a member of the Dres family that he was ready to pick up the remaining equipment. He was told that we will be not receiving anything from the premisses due to a restraining order against Mike and Joanie Bacino. Mike and Joanie has not received a restraining order yet and they do not know why they would be getting one. The Dres family knows that the 75% of  inventory that is left was brought down from the Crown Point John's Pizzeria Reataurant on February 8th. Again Mike and Joanie appreciate your loyalty. Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers.
