Normally St. George Church hosts their Annual Serbian Day the weekend after Thanksgiving, but due to the passing of Patriarch Pavle this event was postponed until, this weekend of Jan 30, 2010.

Under cloudy skies  the Bocce and Soccer Tournaments took place today at the St. George Church grounds in Clearwater.  The weather took a turn for the worst and the rains came tumbling down.  But  the soccer players played on in the the down pour.

The grill kept  the cevapi and mixed grilled continuously  cooking to everyone's delight. The grill could not keep up with the demand for these wonderful sausage-shaped Serbian delicacies the size of a fat pinky finger served piled on lepinja.

The hall was open so people could get out of the rain and enjoy the company of their friends, relatives and kumovi. By the looks of people's faces everyone had a grand time including the children who played on the swings on the church grounds.

A Big Thank you to the church board and kolo sisters who all worked hard to keep everyone happy with food, drink and of course the sisters famous kolaci (Serbian cookies).
